OrdoLectura is built on a principle of deep attention and intellectual independence. We extend that same respect to your privacy. We collect as little data as possible, we never sell your information, and we never track you across the internet.

What We Collect

If you only read: We collect nothing. No cookies, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting. Our website is statically generated and served without server-side analytics by default.

If you subscribe to the newsletter: We store your email address solely to deliver daily passages. We use a privacy-respecting email service. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click.

If you make a donation: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy governs that transaction.

Analytics

If we implement analytics in the future, we will use a privacy-first, cookie-free solution (such as Plausible Analytics) that does not track individual users, does not use cookies, and is fully GDPR-compliant without requiring consent banners.

Cookies

OrdoLectura uses only one strictly necessary cookie: your preference for light or dark mode, stored locally on your device via localStorage. This is not a tracking cookie and contains no personal information. No cookie consent banner is required.

Third-Party Services

• Vercel — hosts our website. Their infrastructure may log IP addresses for security purposes. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts — serves our typefaces (Newsreader, Inter). Google may collect limited usage data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe (when implemented) — processes donations. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Data Retention

Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Upon unsubscription, your email is permanently deleted within 30 days. We do not maintain archives of unsubscribed addresses.

Children's Privacy

OrdoLectura does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Our content is designed for adult readers engaged in philosophical inquiry.

If we make changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify newsletter subscribers via email.
